I taught linguistics for more than 25 years at universities in Athens, Georgia (USA), Omaha, Nebraska (USA), León (Nicaragua), and Stockholm (Sweden). I retired from teaching during the COVID pandemic and now I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I have grown to love both the east side and the west side of the Sandia Mountains. When I’m not at my day job, I go hiking and attend open mic poetry events whenever possible.
